Authentic Greek Naval Officer's Sword, probably made in the 19th – early 20th century (possibly Carl Eickhorn – Solingen, circa 1930s).
Brass guard with embossed crown above fouled anchor.
Handle with elaborate winding wire. Lion's head on the end of the handle.
Straight blade with engravings showing wear and oxidation.
There is a pommel (portepee) in fairly good condition.
The scabbard is missing—only the metal part survives (worn, oxidized).
This item is decorative and not sharpened. A valuable piece for naval weapon collectors, museums and historians.
Condition: Fair due to oxidation on the blade and worn gilding as well as the lack of its sheath.
